28th March 2013, Thursday, at 7.05am.
I was on my way to school on Bus 12 and I chose to stand at the empty space in front of a Malaysian guy in his 20s. At first, I was wondering, why is he moving and moving, can't he stop moving? I turned to look at him but he was looking for something in his bag.
I wasn't suspecting much then but when I turn to look at my left, a girl from my school was staring, like looking at 'show' or something.
I started to suspect that he was taking something away from me as I put my wallet on the outer compartment. He moved near to the door and I moved back then I realize my outer compartment was unzipped and my wallet was missing.
Immediately, I took a picture of him, I was frightened of course but I thought of calling the police on the bus and if that guy ran away, at least, I've got a picture of him.
He went down the bus so I followed him. I asked him nicely, "Excuse me, did you take my wallet?"
He replied something like, "Just now your wallet drop, I picked it up, return you." while taking out my wallet from his bag, it was placed so nicely as if it's his.
I kinda laughed, hello? Something placed nicely in my bag, zipped and it dropped? It ain't a small wallet, it was a rectangular one.
Then, I went back on the bus and off to school.
EPIC FAIL
I'm not going to post the picture that I took but I'm keeping it for future reference. I think that everybody deserves a second chance hence, I decided to let it go. Moreover, I got back my wallet. Lesson learnt: Not to put my wallet at the outer compartment again.
My mother said that I was really harsh, what happens if he brought a weapon with him? How can I just give chase like that without thinking of terrible consequences? Come to think of it, she's right.
I'm such a brave girl, MUAHAHAHAHA!
This also taught me not to take things that aren't mine because it will be returned to the owner still.
Just as I'm writing this post, on Twitter, it's spreading around that Naomi lost her camera, please kindly return her because it's not yours.
